About 200 security personnel at Casino Niagara and Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort have ratified their first labour contract since being unionized last year.
The deal was supported by 81 per cent of the votes cast by members of Canadian Auto Workers Local 199.
The union says that full-time and part-time security officers who worked at least 1,500 hours last year will receive a total one-time payment of $1,400 by May 15 and those who worked fewer hours will receive a proportionate amount.
The security officers are currently paid $21.05 an hour, with provisions for increases of 35 cents per hour in April 2015 and April 2016.
They'll also have a 2014 payment of $750 or a general wage increase if gaming employees get one.
